2nd Annual 2026 Local Author and Illustrator Salute Event sponsored by Crown Automotive in Lawrence!!

Yes, there are free books available from the authors! You must have a Crown Coin (one per person) for a free book.  Coins are available at Crown Toyota, 3430 South Iowa Street, Lawrence, KS; Lawrence Public Library, 707 Vermont Street, Lawrence, KS; and Boys and Girls Club of Lawrence, 2910 Haskell Avenue, Lawrence, KS.  You may purchase more books at the event - local authors will be there to sign free and purchased books.

The Local Author and Illustrator Event is also a fundraiser for Lawrence Public Library Friends and Foundation, Lead to Read, and Rock Chalk Roundball Classic. Please join us to support these organizations and have a great time doing it.
