Book Lovers from the Kansas City Metro area, Lawrence and Topeka can meet their favorite local author or illustrator at the "2025 Local Author Salute" sponsored and hosted by Crown Automotive, 3430 South Iowa Street in Lawrence. This event will benefit The Lawrence Public Library and Lead to Read.
Book lovers can pick up a Free "Crown Coin" at Crown Automotive - 3430 South Iowa Street, Larwrence, KS; Lawrence Public Library - 707 Vermont Street, Lawrence, KS; Kizer Cummings Jewelers, 833 Massachusetts Street, Lawrence, KS; Cork & Barrel, 1801 W 23rd Street, Lawrence, KS; Wine Dive Kitchen, 741 Massachusetts, Lawrence, KS; and 23rd Street Brewery, 3512 Clinton Parkway, Lawrence any time before the event as supplies last. The "Crown Coin" is redeemable for one free book at the event. One free book per person. Quantities are limited.
Some of the authors attending the event will be Brian Hanni - "Voice of the Jayhawks"; Kendall Gammon - Former Kansas City Chiefs Player; Children's author and entertainer Jim "Mr. Stinky Feet" Cosgrove; and Miles Schnaer. More authors are confirming daily.
