by Brian Hanni

$32.95
Banner Year is the only KU-officially licensed chronicle of the Kansas Jayhawks‘ historic run to the 2022 NCAA Men’s Basketball National Championship. This limited-edition KU collector’s item includes a foreword from Hall of Fame Coach Bill Self and an afterword by Jayhawk star forward David McCormack. Each copy of this numbered, coffee-table book is printed on 100# archival paper, packed with exclusive, dynamic, never-before-published photos by Kansas Athletics’ own photography staff and features a rhythmic script by the radio “Voice of The Jayhawks,” Brian Hanni.

Banner Year includes new, exclusive reflections from every member of KU’s national title team describing what winning the championship meant to them and expressing their pride in representing the Crimson & Blue. The cover of “Banner Year” has an embossed, replica image of the 2022 Championship Banner that will hang at Allen Fieldhouse.

About the Author

Brian Hanni

Brian Hanni is a sportscaster and writer in Lawrence, KS., where he broadcasts for his alma mater, the University of Kansas. In his sixth season as the “Voice of the Jayhawks,” Hanni had the privilege of calling KU Basketball’s 2022 National Championship run. His annual poetic season recap was the initial inspiration for this book. Banner Year is Hanni’s second book. His initial work, Game Maker, is a children’s book that delivers the inspiring true story of James Naismith as an ambitious and creative child who grew up to become the inventor of Basketball. While Hanni’s first love will always be behind the mic, he’s enjoyed crossing over into the written word as his storytelling style evolves.
